This project is sponsored by the Swedish India Environmental Facility of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). SIDA is a government agency of the country of Sweden and seeks to create partnerships with companies, popular movements, organizations, universities, and government agencies for its development projects. SIDA’s geographic focus is on countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Central and Eastern Europe.

The objective of this project is to enhance environmental performance across the supply chains of selected product groups that extend from India to Sweden, through structured cooperation between Indian and Swedish experts, exchange of best practices, and facilitating development of partnerships between relevant Swedish and Indian stakeholders.

The Target Groups Include:

• Swedish Buyers – importers and manufacturers – from selected product group

• Indian suppliers – exporters and traders – from selected product groups

• Swedish companies – subsidiaries, branches, contract operations in India

• Employees on either sides - engaged in these supply chains

• Secondary target families and local communities that are directly/indirectly affected by these products(in India)
